Go All-In on Wallpaper

If you're ready to take on a big project, try wallpaper for the ultimate spring refresh. Take a cue from this galley kitchen, designed by Austin-based firm Sidetracked Studio, and use brightly colored, tone-on-tone floral print for a low-effort, high-impact seasonal spin. (A reproduction of "Larkspur 1872" by William Morris is shown here.) Pair with a complimentary paint color, like Sidetracked Studio did here with Jamestown Blue by Benjamin Moore, on the trim to tie it all together.

Hang a Spring Garland

easter crafts speckled egg garland, easter grass displayDavid Hillegas

Garland isn't just for the winter holidays, it works for Easter, too! Set up time for a craft-ernoon with the kids to create a blue-speckled egg garland.

To make: Use an awl to poke holes in ends of papier-mâché eggs, then paint eggs white, robin’s-egg blue, and turquoise with acrylic paint. Once dry, spatter with dark blue paint. Thread twine through holes, and hang, adding a tassel detail, if desired.
